For many, doing copious amounts of laundry and cleaning toilets can be mundane, but for one group of women it’s a Gospel opportunity.
Woman’s Missionary Union volunteers in North Carolina regularly do washing, cleaning and other housekeeping tasks to give back to the Baptist Rebuild Centre.
The center is equipped to house and feed up to 2000 volunteers who are working in the state to help rebuild after devastating hurricanes over the past few years.
Baptist Press reports the WMU was seconded to help with the house tasks after those staying at the centre started falling behind due to serving in other areas.
WMU volunteers attach thank you notes and Scripture verses to laundry bags and pray for each one of the workers while on shift.
They say lives have been impacted as volunteers witness the unconditional love of Jesus on display.
