There is a strong connection between commitment to Scripture in young people and discernment in social media use.
A new report from the Barna Group and the Impact 360 Institute, found three in five teens and young people aged 13 to 21 say their generation spends too much time on screens.
Barna Group President, David Kinnaman says young people committed to Scripture, to the local church, and to Christ tend to practise discernment when it comes to social media use and technology.
He’s told The Christian Post, there’s an interconnection between being an active disciple of Christ and disciplined use of screen time.
The goal of the research, which involved more than 1,500 young people, is to equip youth leaders to better understand and disciple the next generation in a digital era.
