A church consultant says if congregations are thinking of making changes, now is the time to act.
Phil Cooke says he doubts there’s a ministry leader in the world who doesn’t want to change something
It might be the order of service, the leadership team, service start times, the website, a new name or the outreaches of the church.
But Dr Cooke most pastors find church members are generally very slow to accept new ideas.
He says people get used to the way things are and don’t like to change.
However, Dr Cooke told My Christian Daily the best time to change things is when emerging from a crisis as that’s when people are expecting a “new normal”.
He has released a book called “Unique: The Ultimate Planner for Creative Professionals,” to help leaders prioritize change.
