Australians are being urged to dig deep on Friday for Daffodil Day to help the fight against cancer..

In 2020, the appeal raised almost $1.5 million despite the global pandemic.

Most of the money goes towards cancer research while the appeal raises awareness about the disease which touches so many families.

Nearly 150,000 Australians are diagnosed with cancer every year.

One in two will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
