The third and final volume of the prison journal written by Cardinal George Pell has been released.

The Cardinal spent 404 days in jail after being convicted of child abuse, before his conviction was overturned by the High Court.

He writes of the global support he received, including more than 3,500 letters.

He claims his ordeal has helped bring people back to their Catholic faith.

Author George Weigel who wrote the afterword to the third volume, commends Cardinal Pell for holding no grudges.

The Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles Robert Barron praises his graciousness and forgiveness.

Christian Newswire notes the writing reflects the Cardinal’s trademark humor and wit, and what it calls his authentic relationship with Christ.

The website also reports Cardinal Pell discusses President Trump being an unlikely champion of Christians and how the Vatican can restore its image.
