God’s Love Among Despair

Thursday, June 14th, 2018

Protests in Nicaragua turned so violent in April that the US withdrew its embassy staff – but according to a Christian mission group, there’s no place so chaotic that God’s love can’t reach it.

Mission Network News reports, during an e3 Partners’ trip to Nicaragua, a volunteer met Miguel.

The 63-year-old was in constant pain, with only half of his left leg and his right leg constantly swollen.

He spent most days alone, feeling like there was no hope – until George knocked on his door to share his testimony and the hope of Christ.

George prayed for Miguel, asking God to relieve his pain. Miguel said he immediately felt some of the pain disappear.

George visited him every day, and on the third day – Miguel accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Miguel says he finally has hope again and is just filled with joy.
