Hearts Open to Gospel in Troubled African Community

Sunday, June 9th, 2019

Every night a missionary couple open their home for Bible study and prayer on Crocodile Island in Africa.

Kelvin and Florence are part of the Operation Mobilisation team working with a local people group in Zambia who have been immersed in witchcraft.

According to Kelvin, the island Headman said he would beat them, until they explained they just wanted to share the love of God.

There are churches on the island and occasionally pastors visit to preach, but the issues of witchcraft, polygamy, and intoxication are common.

It has been challenging, but the couple say they have grown in love for the people as they see God working and transforming lives.

Even the Headman is now open to know more about the Bible.

Crocodile Island, which is shaped like a crocodile, consists of four fishing villages on Lake Tanganyika.
