The changing political landscape and the pandemic in China are changing the ministry of Bibles for China.

It’s long been active in rural China, providing Christians with Bibles.

Founder Wendell Rovenstine says that while western missionaries can no longer move freely in China, Chinese Christians have taken up the work of sharing the good news of Jesus throughout the country.

He told Mission Network News that as the Beijing government clamps down on churches, Christians are forming WeChat groups to maintain a community of believers.

Mr Rovenstine says Chinese Christians have grown used to navigating constantly changing political situations, and are resilient in accomplishing ministry.

But he’s requesting prayer to give them the strength and ingenuity they need in a shifting landscape.
