The International Cricket Council has announced its Awards of the Decade winners.
Virat Kohli has taken out the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for Male Cricketer of the Decade, having scored 20,396 runs in all international formats of the game for the period.
The Indian captain’s run tally is higher than that of any other player.
Kohli, who had picked up Cricketer of the Year in 2017 and 2018, was also named the Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Decade.
Australia’s Ellyse Perry was awarded the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for ICC Female Cricketer of the Decade, the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Decade, and the Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade.
Fellow Australian Steve Smith won best Test Cricketer of the last 10 years.
It was the first time the sport’s governing body had allowed the public to vote, with more than 1.5 million fans from around the world casting 5.3 million votes.
