A Christian ministry has restarted its work in Australia, nearly 50 years after its missionaries first shared Jesus with Jewish people down under.
The work of Christian Witness to Israel will be led in Australia by Mark and Rahel Landrum, lifelong missionaries who have recently joined the CWI team.
Originally from the U-S and Israel respectively, New Life reports the couple have given their lives to Jewish mission and have served in Israel, Europe, North America, and Australia.
The pair will be based in Sydney which has a thriving Jewish community of about 50,000.
Australia’s Jewish population numbers around 120,000 and includes many Holocaust survivors who arrived during and after the second World War.
CWI’s mission to share Jesus with Jewish people in Australia started in 1972 and included Bible classes, refugee meetings, and the distribution of New Testaments.
The organisation originated in London in 1842.
