Ministry Working in the Midst of Humanitarian Crisis

Thursday, June 13th, 2019

Churches in Lebanon have had their eyes opened to expand their mission field for Christ.

Due to the humanitarian crisis left from the Syrian war, local churches have come to discover what they are calling “Kingdom mindedness”

The aim has shifted from working only to further a specific ministry to building the entire kingdom of God.

President of the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary Ellie Haddad told Mission Network News its all about bringing people to Christ through selfless acts of love.

”This is a missional mindset that we have been working on for a long time I think.  It’s not about how many chairs we fill in our church on a Sunday morning, it’s how many people are released for ministry.”

Dr Haddad says the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon has pushed churches to lean on God and respond with open arms.
