The National Church Life Survey is now underway

It is held every five years in conjunction with the national census.

Survey Director Ruth Powell told Vision Radio it’s more important than ever after two years of pandemic .. to give churches direction

She says while they’re listening to the community, they want to hear honest answers from church leaders and their members.

Ms Powell says for churches to be healthy and strong, they need to provide information about their skills and resources as well as their weaknesses and their hopes and aspirations for the future.

More than 300 thousand forms have been sent to churches across the country.

They can fill them out on paper, or online.

It’s hoped most will be completed by the end of next month, but they’ll still be accepted in the New Year.
