National Day of Thanks Continues Despite Cancellation of Live Events

Saturday, May 30th, 2020

The National Day of Thanks has been a part of Australian society for more than 15 years, and it’s back once again in 2020.

The event is held every year on the Saturday of Pentecost weekend.

Even though live events have had to be cancelled because of the pandemic, you can still take part in other ways.

You can make your own cards to send to others, or purchase them online.

National Coordinator of the Day of Thanks Brian Pickering has told Vision, it’s a good time to think outside of our regular circles for today’s event.

“I’d encourage people to think beyond just their own network of friends and think of people like the prime minister and the state premiers who have led us through this coronavirus pandemic and brought us out on the other side in a very good position – don’t forget to thank them,” says Mr Pickering.
