A new faith-based film from the creators of a record-breaking Biblical miniseries, will be released next month.
The Christian Post reports, “Resurrection” is produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett.
As the title suggests, the production takes place immediately after the crucifixion of Jesus, and is slated for release on March 27.
According to the synopsis of “Resurrection”, the movie focuses on Jesus’ followers who are now “hunted, leaderless and desperately searching for understanding, but when Jesus rises from death, they realise that hope didn’t die on the cross. It lives on in them.”
The movie will shown on cable network Discovery+ and is the fourth faith-based production from the husband and wife Downey and Burnett team.
Their previous credits include “The Son of God”, “A.D: The Bible Continues”, and the record-breaking “The Bible”.
