The New South Wales Premier’s Reading Challenge gets underway today.

Students from Kindergarten to Year 9 are encouraged to read between 20 and 30 books during the month of March.

The state’s Education Minister Sarah Mitchell says her family is getting involved in the challenge and is encouraging other New South Wales families to do the same.

The challenge aims to inspire a love of reading for leisure and to encourage students to engage with quality literature.

Students will receive certificates for participating in the challenge.
