Pastor Shares 5-Step “BLESS” System to Lead People to Christ

A US pastor has come up with a five-point strategy based on the book of Genesis, to bless people and ultimately lead them to Christ.

Dave Ferguson is lead pastor of a church in Chicago, and creator of the Genesis 12 strategy.

The outreach uses Genesis 12 where God tells Abraham “I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing.”

He told the Christian Post, the idea came from missionaries to Thailand who called themselves “Blessers” and led 100 people to Christ over two years.

This led Pastor Ferguson to devise the BLESS system, with each letter representing an action that believers can do unto others.

L – listen with care
E – eat together
S – serve in love
S – share your story
