The Queensland Premier has announced her state will provide a hub for six AFL teams for the rest of the season.

St Kilda, North Melbourne, Essendon, Western Bulldogs, Richmond, and Carlton will be based on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Annastacia Palaszczuk says it’s just one way Queensland is helping out Victoria during the pandemic.

“Essentially Queensland’s going to be the home of the AFL, and they should give us the grand final after this!” she’s told reporters.

Fremantle, West Coast, Adelaide, and Port Adelaide have spent the past month in a hub in south-east Queensland but will soon return home.
