Renowned Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias has lost his battle with cancer.
The 74 year old learned of his diagnosis in March this year, with doctors informing him last week that there were no more treatment options.
His daughter Sarah Davis confirmed the news overnight, noting that even in his final days, he wanted to turn every conversation back to Jesus and what the Lord had done.
Tributes also flowed on social media from the likes of Christine Caine, Tim Tebow and Lee Strobel with the hashtag #ThankYouRavi.
He leaves a lasting legacy, having influenced many with his wry humour and insatiable appetite for defending the faith over a ministerial career than lasted 48 years and spanned more than 70 countries.
A public memorial service in Atlanta will held in the coming months and streamed around the world.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and their three children.
