Essendon has re-signed its reigning best-and-fairest winner, Jordan Ridley on a four-year contract.
He joins emerging Bombers stars Kyle Langford and Andy McGrath in agreeing to new deals this week.
“I really love the footy club and [I’m] really proud to play for such a big, historic club with a lot of fans,” Ridley says.
“I know we’re all hurting after 2020 and we’re all disappointed with the on-field results but we’re super committed to improving and we’ll be back and better than ever for next year.”
Elsewhere in the AFL, Collingwood has delisted experienced pair Matthew Scharenberg and Tim Broomhead.
Scharenberg departs after 41 games, while Broomhead made 37 senior appearances.
It comes after Lynden Dunn, Travis Varcoe, and Ben Reid announced their retirement.
