President Trump says the plight of Christians facing persecution in North Korea was brought up with the Hermit State’s supreme leader, Kim Jong Un.
However, although the President says he and Mr Kim discussed the rights of Christians nothing would be mentioned on the document that the two leaders agreed upon.
Open Doors says more than 300,000 Christians face persecution and even death under PyongYang’s regime.
President Trump mentioned Franklin Graham, the CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and his on-going commitment to North Korea.
He says the matter came up in discussions and ‘things will be happening”.
