The Salvation Army’s service post in Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi region was attacked last week and six houses belonging to church members were burnt down.

My Christian Daily reports, an alleged terrorist set the church on fire, before murdering four church members.

The service post located in the forest has limited access to information and transportation.

International Christian Concern says police suspect the attack was carried out by members of the MIT terror group.

Gina Goh, ICC’s Regional Manager for Southeast Asia, says their organisation is mourning the deaths of their Indonesian brothers and sisters and are urging the government to take necessary measures to hold the perpetrator accountable and bring him to justice.

The Salvation Army is asking for prayers “for the family of the victims, for the church, and for the peace of the region.”
