The Future Not as Bleak as Many Would Have us Think

Tuesday, January 5th, 2021

Despite the doomsday predictions of some, new data shows the world is not actually in decline.

Human death rates from air pollution have declined by nearly half in the past 30 years, with advancement in modern technology actually helping the cause.

The number of people around the world with improved access to clean drinking water increased 68 percent from 1990 to 2015, even as the population itself has expanded.

Around 290,000 people have gained access to improved drinking water every single day across the globe over the last 25 years with figures continuing to get better.

Food production is also on the rise, with UN data showing there is enough food for ten billion people, 25 percent higher than the current population of 7.5 billion.

And the number of people around the world living in dramatic poverty is dropping, even as we grow in number.

The new data should remind us that God is in control, and the One we should look to for hope and joy.
