New figures show there have been more than 11,000 applications for the HomeBuilder program.
The federal government scheme was set up in June to ensure a pipeline of construction work, amid fears the coronavirus downturn could damage the sector.
Under the initiative, $25,000 grants are provided to help people build a new home or make major renovation to an existing one.
Various state revenue offices have released data showing that there have been 11,367 applications to the program so far.
More than 4,000 are from Victoria, indicating that there’s a level of confidence in that state’s economy despite its harsh lockdown.
Queensland and New South Wales are the other big users of the program.
