Thanks to local Christians, thousands of people in South Sudan have found hope for tomorrow in Christ.

The world’s youngest nation has known nothing but instability and war and more than 80 per cent of the population lives in poverty.

Streams of Living Water teaches Christians throughout the Middle East and North Africa how to share their faith.

After a recent workshop in South Sudan, Christians started sharing the Good News of Jesus in villages around Juba.

Mission Network News reports, by the end of January, almost 15,000 people had come to faith in Christ, including an entire company of soldiers.

In one village, 49 people were baptised in one day.

Converts include four occult leaders who were leading a multitude of people in evil spirit practices and idol worship.

Prayer is requested that new Christians will find churches and mature Christians will disciple them.
