“Unplanned” has premiered in Canada despite significant opposition trying to suppress the pro-life narrative.
The movie came to US screens earlier this year but faced hurdles in Canada with corporate giants such as Twitter, governments, and the pro-abortion movement denouncing the film without seeing it.
Directors Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman told the Christian Post the film made just over $350,000 on its opening weekend, averaging approximately $7,000 per screen.
The film tells the story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director who turns to Christ and becomes a pro-life advocate.
Mr Solomon says they continue to receive messages from the public in support of the film, and also hear from abortion clinic staffers whose lives have been changed and now want to leave the industry.
