Dozens of Victoria Police staff face losing their jobs after refusing to have the COVID vaccine.

34 police officers and nine protective services offices have been referred to Professional Standards Command.

They’ve been stood down and directed to take leave after refusing to get the vaccine mandate.

Victoria Police says the 43 members face disciplinary action, which may result in them being terminated

Authorised workers in the state must have had their first COVID shot by last Friday to continue working on site.

Exemptions from having the mandatory vaccine only apply if an employee is unable to be vaccinated due to a medical issue.
