Christian workers are responding to the worsening economic conditions in the Middle Eastern nation of Iran.
Ministry group Voice of the Matryrs (VOM) says, the economic conditions have led to extremely high inflation, and increased unemployment throughout the nation.
Many who’ve lost jobs and financial stability are living on the streets, with children foraging for food in rubbish bins to relieve their hunger.
As a result, pastors and workers in the Iranian house church network, have begun ministering to those on the streets.
A VOM spokesperson says the outreach workers are providing for physical needs, while also introducing the truth of the Gospel to homeless children.
As the children demonstrate a desire to know more, the workers provide Bibles so they can clearly understand the Gospel and decide to follow Christ.
The spokesperson says through the ministry, several children and many others have responded favourably to the ministry efforts.
