The New Zealand Warriors have snapped a four game losing streak, with a 20 to 4 victory over the Newcastle Knights in Auckland.

The win lifts the Warriors into sixth on the NRL ladder, keeping their hopes of a top four finish alive.

Coach Steven Kearney is heaping praise on his players, saying they did a really good job, shutting down the Knights’ opportunities.

The Knights managed just one try and coach Nathan Brown says the side made a number of errors which cost them.

In the later game the Roosters downed the Rabbitohs 18 to 14 at ANZ Stadium. The win lifts the Roosters to the top of the NRL ladder.

Round 22 continues tonight when the Titans battle the Panthers, the Sea Eagles take on the Bulldogs, and the Eels face the Dragons.

The Parramatta Eels will be out to prove Brad Arthur’s changes are paying off – as they look to upset St George-Illawarra in today’s match.

Coach Brad Arthur says they’re determined to avoid another loss against the Dragons.
