Vision's Brisbane History

Brisbane is the original home of Vision radio. Beaudesert (88.0 FM), a rural town south of Brisbane, is the oldest — in fact, it's our very first station ever. It was soon followed by Springwood (87.6 FM), where our first offices were located, and then Redcliffe (87.6 FM), north of Brisbane. The Redcliffe transmitter, situated on the corner of Anzac Avenue and Oxley Avenue, is not far from where the city of Brisbane first started as a penal colony in 1824.

Our studios and offices are also in the Greater Brisbane Area and it was here our first stations went on air in 1999. Vision's first broadcast studios were in a converted three-bedroom cottage in Springwood, south of Brisbane. The first relay station was in Beaudesert, 90km south of Brisbane. Today, Vision has moved studios up the road to the next suburb, Underwood, from where we broadcast to over 660 radio stations across Australia and distribute nearly 150,000 print devotionals each quarter.
