Tasmania is truly an island state. It consists of the main island plus than 334 surrounding islands! Nearly half of the state lies in reserves, national parks and World Heritage sites, so it's not surprising the main industries include agriculture, forestry and tourism. Over 50 relay stations broadcast Vision in Tasmania, including in the main centres of Hobart, Launceston and Devonport.
Tasmania's first Vision relay transmitter was powered up in Zeehan, on the west coast, in 2004. That was followed by Gagebrook, Lauderdale, and Mooreville the following year. Hobart's city centre transmitter didn't come on line until 2009, although many of the suburbs already had already a Vision service by that time.
LP means this frequency is low-powered, with a typical coverage of around 5km radius.
