The Gold Coast is Queensland’s second-biggest city (and the sixth largest in Australia) and is served by seven separate Vision transmitters. Some of our longest-established transmitters in the country are here, with three of them broadcasting from 2003 or earlier.
HISTORY
Vision came to the Gold Coast with its first transmitter at Paradise Point (88.0 FM) in September 2002. The following July, a transmitter began operating from Labrador on 87.8 FM and, a month later, Eagle Heights in the hinterland started broadcasts also on 87.8 FM. More recently, Vision has arrived in Lower Beechmont (87.8 FM) in 2006, Nerang (87.8 FM) in 2009, Mermaid Waters (87.8 FM) and Tallebudgera Valley (87.8 FM) in 2010 and Upper Coomera (87.8 FM) in 2011.
