During Visionathon, Jeff from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia called in to share a powerful story of generosity and trust in God’s prompting. What began as a planned donation quickly turned into a double blessing.
“I had an amount in my mind,” Jeff said. “It was what I gave last Visionathon. But they kept saying, ‘pray about it’. So I did. And nothing changed—at first.”
But the Holy Spirit kept nudging Jeff. “I had this thing in my mind saying, ‘go and check’, and I kept putting it off,” he said. The night before he was due to give, he and his wife sat down to look over their tax returns.
A Double Blessing from Jeff
“I was actually shocked at how blessed we’d been by the Lord,” Jeff said. “So I doubled my donation.”
Jeff’s testimony is a reminder for us all that God can stir our hearts in unexpected ways when we take the time to listen. Jeff’s gift became part of a matching challenge sponsored by a generous couple from North Queensland, passionate about reaching the next generation. That meant Jeff’s donation went even further to bring hope through Visionathon.
