We can always trust God’s ability to turn an adversity into a blessing as Sue from Kingston in Tasmania experienced when she had a puncture on her way to her son and daughter-in-law’s house on Mother’s Day.
When Sue went to have her tyre repaired, she decided to visit the Salvation Army citadel close by to fill in time.
‘I met Ros there, a beautiful woman who was so embracing and so lovely. And it was just what I needed because I’ve been feeling really disconnected, apart from listening to Vision Christian Radio, which literally has been my saving grace,’ said Sue. ‘Ros invited me to their service on Sunday and it was the most magnificent service. It was celebrating Pentecost Sunday, and one of the songs we sang was The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit. It was so healing for me because it sort of took me full circle to when I first became a born again Christian at 41 years of age and we sang that song in the service. That was 30 years ago.’
Sue donated to Vision because of the difference it made in her life when she first connected with Vision Radio in February last year.
‘I was really struggling seriously for a number of reasons. Not least of all because I didn’t have a church family and I was feeling very isolated, living on my own as an older person. So when I was scrolling through the radio channels and came across Vision Christian Radio and started listening,’ said Sue. ‘From that time on, there’s probably not a day I haven’t been listening to it. I feel as if I’m nurtured and I’m part of this Vision Christian Radio family. I love listening to all that you contribute to other people by sharing their testimonies. I feel that I’ve been encouraged so enormously since I’ve been connected to the radio.’
There are people just like Sue all across Australia who need Vision Christian Radio. Whether it’s to be encouraged, for company, to deepen their walk with God, or to be saved. Two of Vision’s principles are to ensure the Gospel is communicated clearly, and that Vision resources are freely available to everyone.
While we believe the Gospel will always be free, making it available to everyone comes at a cost. If you want to join us in this valuable ministry and be a part of what God is doing through Vision today, would you prayerfully consider donating an amount the Holy Spirit put on your heart to give.
We hand over our money for all sorts of things every day without giving it a second thought. It might be to buy a cup of coffee, put petrol in the car, or go out for lunch.
A donation to Vision is far more than just a transaction. It’s an investment in helping people focus on God’s Word. Something that will change their life and last for all eternity.
It’s important that you respond right now. So, please go visit vision.org.au and click on the donate button. Or use your Vision Christian Media app or call us on 1800 316 316, where someone will process your donation over the phone.
You’ll be helping people look to God daily as we believe and work together.
