About

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Vision was a lifeline for Jacqueline from Ropes Crossing when she had a devastating stroke a few years ago. This is the reason she continues to donate to Visionathon.

“I couldn’t get out or go and do things,” she says. “Vision was something that enabled me to have some company at home. And not just on a Sunday, but all the time.”

Jacqueline has since recovered and is back at work, teaching at a Christian school. She works in the education sector but isn’t doing a lot of face-to-face teaching right now. She says Vision has been a great tool to help her connect with the young people she works with.

“We have 15 days a year of face-to-face teaching and that’s coming up next week,” says Jacqueline. “So I actually contacted Vision, to see if I could get some Vision 180 devotionals. My grandson gets them, and he loves them. I thought that would be a great way to share Jesus at these residential schools.”

Jacqueline emailed Vision one morning, and within half an hour the devotionals had been sent out. She says any contact she’s ever had with Vision has always been very positive.

Jacqueline has also participated in one of Vison’s fantastic Israel trips. In 2017, she was in Israel to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Austrian Light Horse freeing Beersheba and Israel from Ottoman Turkish rule after 400 years.

“The whole trip was fantastic,” she says. “I’m always telling people if you’re going to go to Israel, go on that particular tour because I love history. I was able to see the history as well as the religious side, which made it just amazing.”

Jacqueline just wants to encourage everyone to donate to Visionathon, so Vision can keep going and growing!

Isn’t it fantastic that Vision was able to keep Jacqueline company while she was recovering? What an inspiration she is to both her grandson and her school children. The greatest thing is that you can be a part of stories like this too!
