Karen appreciates Vision for highlighting God’s work in Australia and overseas, which she believes mainstream media continues to neglect. Listening to Vision offers Karen a refreshing perspective, contrasting with what she sees on most news outlets on a daily basis.
Instead of dwelling on hopelessness, Vision focuses on highlighting God’s incredible work around the world. Karen particularly loves hearing stories of young people coming to Christ and being baptised, and says she never sees these kinds of stories on the mainstream media.
But for Karen, Vision’s impact goes beyond the news. Recently, while dining out with a friend, she reconnected with a former colleague who was interested in exploring faith. Encouraged by her own experience listening to Vision, Karen invited her to church.
The Word For Today
Karen’s friend committed her life to Jesus that same week, and her experience of being in the right place at the right time serves as a powerful testament to Vision’s influence. ‘Each of The Word for Today devotionals is a seed of faith,’ says Karen. ‘I was in the right place to share that faith, just like Vision brings God’s word to people at just the right moment.’
Karen finds joy in knowing God is using her as part of something bigger, reaching small towns and touching the lives of people she might never meet, but will share eternity with.
‘When we obey the Lord in giving, then He brings a blessing to us.’
