Peter, the pastor of Burdekin Community Church in Queensland, called in during Visionathon to share about the impact Vision Christian Radio is having in their community.
It was inspiring to hear that Peter’s church, local schools and families, come together to support Vision’s mission to reach as many people as possible across Australia with the Gospel.
‘It’s just so important because of the message that Vision brings, the positivity, the Christ-centred messages, the talks, the information, just right across the board, and the songs. We just love Vision Radio,’ said Peter.
Peter highlighted a growing problem that many of us are all too familiar with—families struggling under the weight of modern life’s pressures, marriages in turmoil, and a general sense of disconnect and dysfunction.
Peter mentioned that Brett and Kate recently visited Townsville to present a Marriage Seminar, which he and his wife attended and benefited from.
‘We see that families are struggling, marriages are struggling, there’s a lot of dysfunction, a lot of hurt. So, the message they bring and the resources they provide through Focus on the Family Australia is really valuable and needed. I think more people need to be made aware of it,’ said Peter.
Brett and Kate Ryan from Focus on the Family are regular guests on Vision Radio. Their podcasts are also available to listen to through the Vision website or Vision app. These valuable resources are an enormous help towards healing and strengthening community bonds. Many people are finding solace and strength through Vision’s broadcasts.
Peter and his church gave a generous donation of $1,000 as a call to action to support Vision’s mission to continue spreading the good news of Jesus to every corner of Australia. As many of our supporters have told us, Vision can take the Gospel to places they could never reach on their own.
It’s encouraging to see communities coming together to win souls for the Kingdom.
‘I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labour. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.’ 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 NIV
The seed you saw through Vision today will kick start something for God, and that He can use in somebody else’s life.
Will you help people look to God daily as we believe and work together?
You’ll probably never get to meet the people you help, but they will be forever grateful that you chose to respond.
