Christian Media Sparking Australia’s Spiritual Awakening

Christian Media Sparking Australia's Spiritual Awakening

Dear friends,

Is it really true? Are the number of Christians in Australia declining?

Research* recently released reported that despite a decline in religious affiliation, Australians are still turning to Christianity in surprising numbers. And, young people are on a deep quest for meaning.

Why Christian Media in Australia Still Matters

Think for a moment about someone you love – a family member, a friend, a neighbour. Right now, across Australia, people just like those dear to you are looking at the state of our world. Desperately wondering where real purpose and hope can be found.

An example of this, very fresh in my mind, is a lady who in late April sat down next to my family at church. She had never been to church before. She turned up because she saw something different in the Christians she knew and was curious to know more.

Hearts are open. But when real faith is on display—especially through Christian media in Australia—it gets attention. It opens the way for searching people to discover, or rediscover, real answers they can trust in.

That’s why I’m asking you to give your tax-deductible gift today. To close the $1.15 million funding gap to be reached by June 30 to help people find answers in God.

Real Stories of Transformation Through Faith-Based Media Outreach

Your support can help people in the most unexpected places, right when they need it. Here’s an example, from Ben, a young man who spent some years in prison:

Over the years in prison, the constant of The Word For Today has been a beacon and connection from God.

‘You have changed many lives. I have seen the barriers to faith and walking with Jesus Christ broken down through the accessible insights in your daily devotional. Boys who have never read the Bible, now read Scripture daily, and come to chapel and walk with the Lord.

They now have hope and are able to have a God shaped future.  Without your publications this would not have happened. Please take this small donation and keep giving to those in prison. Be the beacon.’

Every time you give, pray, or share a resource, you’re also joining thousands supporting Christian media in Australia. You’re becoming a beacon for those in need of spiritual support. Our situation today seems a lot like the one Jesus described in Matthew 9:38 (ESV):

The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.

You can be an answer to that prayer for more helpers to join with us in this mission. Let me share with you some new initiatives your partnership in this ministry will enable.

In late April the first discipleship forum was held, bringing together pastors and technology innovators to help develop plans to capture every opportunity to help people look to God daily, and ultimately become disciple-makers.

And starting this month, Vision’s headquarters becomes the new production base for Link Ministry Network, video content producers who inspire primary age kids and teens toward authentic faith (with lots of fun and energy)!

You Make Vision Possible

And your generosity is at the heart of it all!

Thanks to the faithful support of thousands of people united to help people look to God, incredible progress has been made to reach funding goals. Including May’s Visionathon.  Now, at this moment, the focus is also on the next critical step.

Right now, your tax-deductible gift to reach the $1.15 million funding gap by June 30 will unite with thousands of others across Australia who are here to help:

  • $1,000 will provide four Vision radio channels to about 1,750 people including youth and children for one week to access to Biblically sound teaching, music and conversation for spiritual growth.
  • $10,000 will put The Word For Today daily devotional into the hands of almost 5,000 people in homes, prisons and hospitals to help people engage with Biblical truth daily.
  • $20,000 will make at least 200,000 people aware through digital campaigns that Vision resources are available to them for encouragement and connection.

Show your support by giving securley online or simply call one of the Vision team on 1800 007 770 today.

As Galatians 6:9 NIV encourages us: ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’

Let’s press on. Now is the critical time to help more people look to God daily.

In Him,

Phil Edwards
Chief Executive Officer

P.S. There’s just days to make your tax-deductible gift by midnight June 30 to help more people look to God.

Intellect vs Christianity

Intellectualism and Christianity

Can Christians be intellectual? The way God explains reality in the Bible is not in agreement with modern academics. Christians who follow God’s values face a lot of criticism in today’s culture.
