Rachael Torrington from the Never Again Is Now movement, recently joined us on 20Twenty to weigh in on a controversial letter signed by 120 Christian leaders in Australia, expressing support for the Palestinian people amid the conflict with Israel.
Rachael emphasised a number of misconceptions in the letter, addressing issues like the portrayal of casualties, infrastructure damage, and calls for a ceasefire. She highlighted the biases and ideology embedded in the document, emphasising the importance of discerning facts from propaganda for everyone.
Never Again is Now focuses on combating antisemitism in Australia, bridging gaps in understanding between the Jewish community and the broader society. Through educational initiatives and advocacy, the organisation aims to foster unity and dispel misconceptions within churches and beyond.
As global tensions escalate, it is even more crucial for us to stand in solidarity with persecuted minorities and uphold the values rooted in Biblical teachings.
