Cheryl from Port Macquarie once felt overwhelmed by fear and anxiety. But a call to the Vision Prayer Team helped her find the courage to face her past. ‘It doesn’t matter what you’ve done,’ she says. ‘It doesn’t matter how hard your life is because Jesus comes to meet you. He’s made that appointment with all of us.’
The story of the Samaritan woman at the well resonates deeply with Cheryl because it’s a tale of redemption and hope. ‘Jesus has come to meet her,’ she says. ‘And I feel like He has met me too. He’s met all my needs.’
‘But the most important thing He speaks of is this living water, which is just so powerful. And to me, it feels like this little living water runs through Vision Radio.’
Cheryl has faced fear and anxiety for years, comparing it to the roaring lion mentioned in 1 Peter 5:8. ‘Fear and anxiety have always followed me,’ she says. ‘But meeting Jesus changed everything. He wants to meet us and give us His living water so that we can live.’
Jesus is Always With Us
Vision has been an important part of Cheryl’s journey, helping her combat some of her darkest moments. ‘I have Vision in my headphones, even doing mundane tasks,’ she says. ‘With Vision and Jesus, I am able to expel this fear and anxiety that follows me. I can get through my life.’
‘I’ve got my Jesus by my side, and I’ve learned to do so much in myself. But I’m not alone, because Jesus said He would always be with me.’
