David Browne never imagined how a simple act of kindness could transform his life. As an Anglican minister in Dalby, he and his family were facing a challenging season, and feeling overwhelmed by the stress and uncertainty.
But everything changed at a men’s breakfast outreach hosted by Pastor Matt Prater. More people came than were invited, and many of them were Vision listeners. Then several months later, a man named George approached David, saying how much Vision had blessed him, and gave David $50 for dinner with his family. This kind gesture reminded him of God’s constant support.
‘It changed our perspective,’ says David, ‘and filled us with generosity and turned our hearts towards God.’ Inspired by the experience, David felt a renewed calling to serve. Now, his family is preparing to move to Gladstone to pioneer a move of God’s spirit in the Anglican diocese there. ‘We hope that God will move in the area and grow His kingdom through the church,’ he says.
