Even though Laura is now separated from her husband, her faith has grown stronger despite the hardships she’s faced. Laura found hope in God’s promises. ‘I look back and I know God’s with us,’ she says. ‘God’s the God of restoration. He’s promised me He’s in this with me in this fight.’
Laura knows she’s in a spiritual battle, but says she has continued to grow closer to God. ‘I’ve had Christian radio with me and my church family. I’ve never felt alone. I’ve always felt like God has shown me all these amazing people that are surrounding me in my community.’
The joy of the Lord is Laura’s strength, and even through the toughest circumstances, she continues to faithfully cling to Him. ‘I can put the radio on,’ she says. ‘You guys are such an encouragement. My son is not sure on things either because of everything that we’re going through. But you know what? One day I was in the kitchen and I had the music going and I was thinking, I can’t even get him to church, you know? But God just came to me. He said, You’ve brought the church home.’
Laura’s story is a testament to the power of community and faith. She found support through Vision, listening to Christian radio, and being surrounded by a loving church family. ‘God has been with me through the whole time,’ she says. Her journey is far from over, but her unwavering belief keeps her moving forward.
