There are so many mysteries in the world. Some seem so incredible that it’s hard to believe that they may be true. Our brains sometimes cannot cope with many of these mysteries and so we just dismiss them as fantasy. But, the Bible, as a totally factual record of history, can be believed and nothing in this book has ever been proven wrong. In fact, every prophecy to now, has been proven to be true.
This is Part 1 of a 9-part series where I will detail some of the prophecies in the Bible given for the ‘last days’ and the evidence of these prophecies having recently happened, are happening now or beginning to happen now. I am not attempting to cover the specific prophecies for the 7-year tribulation period. We can now witness these prophetic events happening or starting to develop so that the events prophesised are ready to come to pass during the tribulation period.
I am trusting that this series will give you the knowledge you need, unveil some of the Bible mysteries so that you will be struck with astonishment as you acknowledge the wisdom of God who could, so long beforehand, predict the future with such accuracy. Jesus foretold (in Matthew 24:39) that many people will ignore the evidence presented here or dismiss the prophecies completely (2 Peter 3:3-4). Jesus also said (Matthew 24:25) that he told us of these prophecies in advance so we would know ahead of time and when you see these prophecies being fulfilled, you will know the time of the end is near (Matthew 24:33).
For each prophecy in the series, I will present the Bible verse, the generally accepted interpretation and evidence of the prophecy taking place.
Share these prophecies and the evidence with your friends, particularly your unsaved friends. They will be amazed and it may alter their eternity!
The foundation last days prophecy. I start the last days prophecies series in 1948, for people born from that year are the final generation.
Bible verse: Amos 9:14-15 “I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,” says the Lord your God.
Generally accepted interpretation: Israel would reform despite 2000 years without existing as a country and remarkedly, its scattered people would retain their culture, religion, language, and beliefs despite the elapsed time.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: On May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation. God said, “that generation would grow in knowledge” (Daniel 12:4). And it has as Israel is now a very high technology country. You also might recall the 6-day war in 1967 when a number of Arab countries invaded to try to destroy the new state and failed. Israel remarkedly repelled this combined force in 6 days (the Bible states ‘they shall never again be uprooted out of the land I have given them’) Amos 9:15 fulfilling the prophecy.
The Bible also says in Matthew 24:32 ‘we should learn the parable of the fig tree’. This is because knowledge of this parable will be useful to those entering the last days. Israel is pictured as the fig tree in this parable and when Israel blooms and produces fruit, you will know ‘summer’ is near. That is, when Israel is at its peak, the end times are near and ‘ready to begin’. See: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-39960461
The Bible also says about Israel in Isaiah 66:8 that ‘… can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children’.
The British began to remove their troops towards the end of April 1948. On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the chairman of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, announced the formation of the new state of Israel. Never in the history of the world had such a thing happened before–but God keeps His word. As definitely foretold in Isaiah and in Ezekiel 37:21-22, Israel became a recognised nation, actually “born in one day.”
The miraculous formation of Israel in 1948 commenced the beginning of a period of many modern-day prophesy fulfilments.
Bible verse: Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
Generally accepted interpretation: Many will anxiously search the Bible for knowledge in the end times and at the appointed time; when the things foretold, begin to come to pass; its then that the prophecies may be compared with the events, and it may be seen exactly how they are fulfilled; and people may be struck with astonishment at the wisdom and knowledge of that God who could, so long beforehand, predict the future with such accuracy.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: The evidence presented in this series, mainly from independent and secular sources, will demonstrate that the book referred (the Bible) to is being ‘open’ to allow knowledge and new interpretations and revelations from God to increase for those ready to hear it and who are ready to compare the prophecies with current events.
The next part of the series will continue to examine prophecies and provide the evidence.
