This is Part 3 of the 9-part series where I will continue to detail some of the prophecies in the Bible given for the ‘last days’ and the evidence of these prophecies having recently happened, are happening now or beginning to happen now. We can now witness these prophetic events happening or starting to develop so that the events prophesised are ready to come to pass during the tribulation period. Jesus said (Matthew 24:25) that he told us of these prophecies in advance so we would know ahead of time and when you see these prophecies being fulfilled, you will know the time of the end is near (Matthew 24:33).
Bible verse: Mathew 24:12, 2 Timothy 3:3-4 Such will be the spread of evil that many people’s love will grow cold (some versions say ‘without natural affection) they will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent, and fierce; they will hate the good; they will be treacherous, reckless, and swollen with pride; they will love pleasure rather than God.
Generally accepted interpretation: Many people will grow cold and have no natural affection and no love for family that is considered to be instinctive in the human race.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: The phrase “without natural affection” comes from one Greek word (astorgos) that is found in only one other place in the Bible- Romans 1:31. It means exactly what it says, “unsociable”, “unloving”, “inhuman”. It is the absence of the kind of love for family that is instinctive.
Abortion of unborn babies has always been around. However, abortions performed in the United States increased by 8% during the three years ending in 2020, reversing a 30-year trend of declining numbers, according to data by the Guttmacher Institute, an abortion rights research group. Bible verse: 2 Timothy 4:3-4, Matthew 24:24 The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends. For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear; they will perform great miracles and wonders in order to deceive even God’s chosen people, if possible
Generally accepted interpretation: Deception is rampant in the final days of the earth and even Christians are deceived by false teachings.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: It’s reported that in the USA, that 65% of churches no longer preach the Bible and are declining. People are turning to so called prophets who tell them what they want to hear.

Polls show that most of the population think governments are deceiving us and that corruption is commonplace. Many, if not all, of our public institutions suffer from regulatory capture, a phenomenon where the agency responsible for regulating an industry has been overtaken by the industry that its suppose to oversee. The health bureaucracies are a good current example where they just represent the pharmaceutical companies rather than be concerned about public health, mainly due to the revolving door behaviour where heads of public agencies are recruited from the industry and visa versa.

Bible verse: Revelation 11:18 The time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth.
Generally accepted interpretation: The earth’s environment being treated with contempt.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: Some people do not have concern for the earth and cause harm to our planet in order to make money. They cause pollution, excessive deforestation etc. Changes like these have triggered soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts can affect human behaviour and can prompt mass migrations or battles over clean water.

Bible verse: 2 Timothy 3:5 they will hold to the outward form of our religion but reject its real power. Keep away from such people.
Generally accepted interpretation: Church’s will become places of religious hypocrisy.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: Like the pharisees and the Sadducees in Jesus’s day, some of the leaders of our churches have become hypocrites and are bringing the Church into disrepute and turning the hearts of many believers away from the Church. Some churches deem leaders ‘fit for ministry’ when they allowed two priests to remain in the church who he knew had sexually abused children.
Bible verse: Matthew 24:14 And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will come.
Generally accepted interpretation: The Bible will be preached through all the world then the tribulation and end will come to the earth.
Evidence of the prophecy happening: Queen Elizabeth had a very powerful funeral message. It was unmistakeably a message of the Gospel – the Good News of Jesus. While some dispute the actual viewing live audience said to be around 4 billion people, it is hard to dispute the fact that the message was seen ‘through the world’ thus fulfilling this prophecy.
Additionally, Bible apps are available for smart phones etc making the Bible available throughout the globe. In previous times, spreading the Work relied on physical books and many countries banned them.
