It’s a sad reality that most men today have hundreds of acquaintances but no real friends. They travel alone, shake hands with many yet know very few. This isolation plays right into the hands of the enemy. According to the Bible, we should pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up.
To be victorious in the battle for men’s souls, men need to stand back-to-back with each other. Greg Bondar, Leader and Director of Christian Voice Australia, will be a guest speaker at the upcoming Men’s Summit in Sydney taking place on the 20th May.
The summit aims to help men change and engage for the battlefield. ‘Men are not very open in their relationships,’ says Greg. ‘They’re not very open in sharing their challenges, whether it be family, children, work or social. Most men are isolated. Most men travel alone. And that’s right where the enemy wants them.’
What Is A Real Man?
The summit will include the topic of Christian men and sports, and how sport fits into the lifestyle of a Christian man. Speakers will be discussing new research in this area, as well as the challenges men face both as husbands and fathers.
Greg is going to be talking about issues affecting families, and why it is that men are even reluctant to share their experiences with their wives. ‘Men are very insular and tend to be very private because it’s about the perception of a real man. But a real man is somebody that listens to God, is able to express his grief and disappointment in life, and share his experiences.’
‘God wants his men back,’ says Greg. ‘And this is the purpose of the summit.’
