Vision Christian Media launches Radio Station #785
Vision’s radio station at Julia Creek went to air on 88.0 FM on 29 July 2022. It is Vision’s 785th radio station and 48th station launched for the 100 Stations 2021-2023 Project.
Julia Creek is located 647 km west of Townsville and 1,628 km northwest of Brisbane via Toowoomba and Longreach. It is a historic town, with a population of 511, between Townsville and Mt Isa. It boasts the Artesian Baths that are generally between 38ºC to 41ºC from water extracted from bores over 900 metres deep that are laced with minerals such as sulphur, calcium and magnesium that are believed to have healing powers! It is also known as one of the top camping spots in Outback Queensland and hosts open-air concerts, Outback Opera and a variety of festivals.
