When Robert and Donna moved from Queensland to Deepwater in NSW, they noticed that their new town didn’t have a Vision Radio station. Seeing this gap, they decided to do something about it.
‘We did some enquiries and sowed some money into Vision in the early days,’ says Robert. ‘It’s been such a blessing for us, because at one stage people would try and tune their radios into a secular radio station. But they kept picking up Vision Radio all the time because it was clearer than the secular stations in Deepwater.’
Donna, loves listening to Vision Radio, and noticed its impact immediately. Feedback from around the town was overwhelmingly positive. ‘We have a banner on the front of our house, and people can see Vision Radio 87.6. I tell everyone about it,’ she says. ‘It’s really handy for God to use this station to get them to receive what the Lord wants them to have.’
Now, when people drive through Deepwater, they can easily find spiritual encouragement. The presence of Vision Radio in this little town has brought more Christians together, making it feel even more welcoming and supportive.
Encouraging Others to Take Action
Robert not only expresses gratitude but also encourages others to take action. ‘The more we give, the more it encourages others to give,’ he says. ‘Vision is the only station worth listening to. Because it has the word in season when it needs to be ministered to other people.’
Robert and Donna’s dedication shows how every person’s effort, no matter how small, helps to make the ministry of Vision stronger. ‘You may never meet the person that’s impacted by your giving, but your giving impacts.’
