The Great Shaking of COVID19 Kameel Majdali

Dr Kameel Majdali, the founder of Teach all Nations (TAN) ministry, is an ordained minister of the Australian Christian Churches and has a PhD from the University of Melbourne. He served as the Principal of Harvest Bible College for 13 years, training and equipping people for full-time ministry. Kameel is a highly respected authority in biblical theology. He currently resides in the UK and travels all over the world preaching God’s Word. Kameel is in Australia for his Annual Understanding the Times national tour that will be presented from 9 September to 24 October 2022. He joined Neil Johnson, host of 20Twenty for a special live streamed event hosted at Vision’s studios.

Article – The Great Shaking of COVID19

We are in a time of great shaking, as prophesied in Haggai 2:4-6 and Hebrews 12:25-29, which speaks about God getting interactive in a very real way as we come to the end of the age. Our lives will become much more intense as we experience changes that will shake us, and that’s without any crises thrown into the mix. The increase in intensity will come from a combination of factors. Kameel believes there’s a very strong spiritual component to this, so how churches choose to respond may make all the difference in the world to what happens to society at large and how we get ready for the end-time revival.

The New Normal

People hope to go back to how things were in 2019, before the pandemic, when things were affordable and peaceful; there were no mandates and no authoritarianism.

‘Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your view, it’s not going to happen that way. Things have changed, and not necessarily for the worse. Some of them have changed for the better because in the midst of the intensity and the challenges and crisis of COVID, and other related events, it has caused at least some people to wake up and reprioritise their lives to decide what’s really important and what is just extracurricular. Also, especially because of lockdowns, we have learnt all kinds of things that are going on that we didn’t know during the old normal, and we need to know these things that are going on because they affect our long-term future and that of our families,’ said Kameel.

There will be no going back to the old way, but that’s not bad news. God has better plans. There’s a revival on the way!

‘Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.’ Isaiah 43:18-19

Prophetic Verses in the Bible

There is comfort in not just reading your Bible, but studying it carefully, because only then will you understand Bible prophecy. Kameel recommends reading:

Hebrews 12:25-29. These five verses have so much content, including practical application, which is very important.

Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21:5-38, 1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians.

The book of Daniel in the Old Testament partners with the book of Revelation in the New Testament.

Bible prophecy is a big topic about what God is doing in our world prophetically in the last days. There is much more to study, but these are good starting points that assure us that God has a plan for His world, and it will come to pass.

‘For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

The late British theologian John Stott was credited to have said, ‘We need to practise double listening.’ Double listening means having one ear open to God and the Word of God and one ear open to the world or viewing the world from a biblical worldview. Kameel believes this is absolutely vital if you want to be future-ready.

‘There’s so much craziness in the world. It can be confusing, frightening, alarming, and people just want to close the curtains and be left alone. That’s not the way to do it because the world is not leaving anybody alone anymore. We’re all interconnected. So the more victorious and wise way is to do, as John Stott said. Listen to what God is saying. Then as you listen to God and you watch what’s happening, you will hear very different things to what the world is saying because we’re at a different level altogether,’ said Kameel.

A New Life of Giving and Sacrifice

Many people who call themselves Christians are not, in fact, living the life of victory that Jesus came to give them. Somehow, the promise of victory just isn’t happening in their lives. Something has to change.
