About

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16

Mandy shares her reflections on this verse…

When it comes to morals, ethics, right and wrong, the world is messed up. Christians struggle every day about the right way to live because the world is so liberal and permissive. Where do we find our direction?

What I love about this verse is that every Word of Scripture has come from the perfect heart and mind of God Himself and the power of His Words profit us, they’re an enormous benefit for us. They reprove us when we’ve moved away into dangerous territory and they correct us when we’ve come to a wrong conclusion or done something that offends God, bringing us back to truth and to Him.

God’s very words, breathed onto paper by His chosen men, are there to train us to live righteously. How should we live? Discover how in His Word. How good is that? The standards of the world are here today and gone tomorrow, but God’s Words are bedrock for us, an anchor that holds us securely, regardless of which way the moral winds are blowing.
