Laurie spends his days delivering parcels across Melbourne for Australia Post. But while on the road, it’s Vision that’s delivering hope through the radio to him – encouraging him and helping to renew his faith.
Laurie found Vision on digital radio just a few months ago while scrolling through stations. At first, he confused it with another network, but quickly realised he had discovered something special.
“Thank you, God,” Laurie said. “Vision plays new Christian music I haven’t heard before. I even started writing the songs down and buying them. But more than the music, it’s the content. The news is from a different angle. The guests are thought-provoking. It lifts me up.”
Delivering Hope Through the Radio
Laurie works in a different Australia Post van each day. But he makes sure Vision is set up in every one of them. “I lock you guys in,” he said. “Maybe the next driver gets in and thinks, ‘Wow, I didn’t know this radio station existed.’ It’s all about perspective.”
Laurie finds strength in hearing old-school Christian artists like Keith Green and Amy Grant, as well as evening devotionals and talkback shows. He says it helps him unwind after a long, stressful shift.
