About

Joan’s Vision story began in a rural town just north of Wagga Wagga, and it’s one that shows how God can work in both the everyday and the unexpected.

Now living in Queensland to care for her father, Joan came into the Vision studio with a tray of homemade muffins and a heart full of gratitude. “Last year I wanted to do this,” she said. “But I wasn’t sure. This year, I couldn’t ignore that little voice inside. I just wanted to give back. This is my way of saying thank you.”

Joan explained how Vision has become a daily part of her life. “When you’re on your own or feeling low, Vision is there. Whether it’s a worship song, a testimony, or someone preaching the Word, it always seems to be what you need at just the right time.”

The Word for Today

Joan shared that she was first introduced to Vision through The Word for Today. “A friend gave it to me when I gave my life to Christ. It helped me understand Scripture more deeply, so I decided to put it in the toilet room—because that’s where farmers actually stop long enough to read.”

Joan laughed as she told us this story. “It became toilet literature for Jesus. Not everyone said much about it. But over the years, I could see it was making a difference.”

A Lifeline In Lonely Places

Joan spoke of the isolation many farmers experience. “You can go hours or days without seeing another person. When your kids are gone and you’re out on the land, it can feel lonely. But when Vision is on, it’s like you’re not alone. It reminds you that God is there. You’re loved. And you can keep going.”

A $250 gift could put The Word for Today into 125 rural toilet rooms across Australia. “Toilet rooms for Jesus! But seriously, this is how real ministry happens—in the everyday places people live.”
